Our first release from a Hunter Valley Rosebrook ex-Port cask filled on 7th February 2016 and disgorged following six years in our warehouse.
"Full, glowing amber colour with orange and gold reflections; the bouquet explodes with dried orange-rind/mixed peel, fresh kid leather and newly polished wood panelling aromas, leather chesterfields too, with a quite strong oak component. Traces of toffee, malt, vanilla, and barley sugar can also be detected. The palate is even more explosive than the bouquet, rich and warming, filling every corner of the mouth with flavour which lasts a very long time after the swallow. There's a strong alcohol warmth without it being fiery. Very good length and satisfying finish."

"We are really enjoying each release of Two Doctors. Cask 017, the third release from Two Doctors. Cask fill in March 2016, disgorge in May 2023 making for an impressive 7+ years in barrel. There is certainly no expense spared.
The rich colour of red clay accurately predicts teak oil and cedar wood notes interspersed with the fragrance of old lacquer. The first taste brings a big smile as burnt orange and crushed pine nuts start the journey towards cocoa powder and freshly cut birch. Dried oranges and cloves as 'pomander balls', once used to ward off evil spirits, combine harmoniously on the middle palate. They underline the crescendo to an intense lingering burnt caramel finish. This would make an excellent gift for any whisky connoisseur."
